General Behaviour

Demonstrate respect and you can expect it in return

We expect you to act at all times with respect, which demonstrates consideration for yourself and others, and for the learning environment. In return, you can expect to be treated at all times with respect and consideration from others.

If your actions bring you into disrepute in any way an enquiry will be made in accordance with LC&CTA’s Disciplinary Procedure.

If you have a grievance or complaint then you may progress this under LC&CTA’s Complaints Procedure.

On rare occasions it may be necessary for LC&CTA to take disciplinary action against a student because of gross misconduct. Gross misconduct constitutes any of the following behaviours:

  • Being under the influence of drugs or alcohol when on LC&CTA’s premises
  • Causing undue distress to other students or associates
  • Acting in an unruly or threatening manner to students or associates
  • Acting in a manner which brings LC&CTA or the counselling profession into disrepute
  • Excessive lateness or absenteeism
  • Knowingly participating in Plagiarism or Academic Misconduct
  • Stealing LC&CTA or another’s property
