1. Policy Statement and Commitment

LC&CTA is committed to ensuring that assessment within its Level 5 counselling training programme is fair, consistent, transparent and reflective of the standards expected within professional counsellor education.

Assessment is designed not only to measure academic achievement, but also to assess the development of the knowledge, skills, ethical awareness, reflective capacity and professional suitability required of a trainee counsellor.

LC&CTA recognises its responsibility to ensure that students completing the Level 5 programme have demonstrated the required competence and readiness to progress towards professional practice.
